HOW IT WORKS:
Built on the MIMI Method: Mindful Awareness, Intentional Empathy, What Matters Most, Invite.
Grounded in the work of Dr. John Gottman, Dr. Daniel Siegel, Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, and Dr. Jane Nelsen.
You learn each skill first. She picks it up by watching you use it and how you engage with others.
PHASE 1: YOU: Trust your gut & stay steady
Module 1: Nervous system awareness. Notice you're triggered before you raise your voice.
Module 2: Values, needs, and limits. Know what you stand for, and where a rule turns into control.
Module 3: Spot the mental traps. Tell a real warning sign from a worried dad's story.
Module 4: Define your vision. What a thriving relationship looks like, so you can show her one.
By module 4: you stay calm in conflict, and she starts to notice.
PHASE 2: Her world: See it early & Name it
Module 5: Attachment styles. Yours, hers, and how the way you respond now shapes what feels normal to her later.
Module 6: The 4 most toxic dynamics in relationships: Criticism, contempt, defensiveness, stonewalling. Spot them in your own house first. And learn their antidotes.
Module 7: Manipulation tactics. Gaslighting, love-bombing, guilt-tripping, the 5 stages of grooming, etc. How trust gets built before a line gets crossed, and the test that separates healthy influence from manipulation.
Module 8: Validation: the empathy pivot. See through her eyes. Name what she's feeling out loud. And mean it. She can tell the difference between words and feeling.
By module 8: you see the patterns before they play out, and your daughter feels truly seen by you, maybe for the first time.
PHASE 3: Change the game: Advocate, don't fight
Module 9: Assertive communication. How you say it: the nuances of what shuts her down or makes her fire back. Bring up conflict, say what matters to you without blowing up or backing down.
Module 10: Your limits. What's yours, what's hers. What you will deal with and what you won't. The difference between a boundary and a threat, and how to follow through without abandoning her.
Module 11: Her limits. Help her find her own boundaries and build a safety plan together. How to bring it up without lecturing: the self-defense principles to talk through with her, including what other women wish their dads had told them. Overriding the freeze response that gets most girls in real trouble. Plus the relationship spectrum: thriving, healthy, healthy-but-hard, or toxic. So she knows when to lean in and when enough is enough.
By module 11: you hold your ground, she gets to hold hers and she still feels safe with you.
PHASE 4: Invite: Build the trust and dynamics she needs to come to you.
Module 12: Invite. Make a request she can say no to, and keep inviting her into better dynamics. Change the game from zero-sum to cooperation. Negotiate solutions that work for both of you.
By module 12: she doesn't just feel safer around you. She trusts you with the things that matter most.
